Yup, this is really his new album cover.

LOLs!

Even though Nelly's latest single Just A Dream is doing well on the Billboard charts, we have a feeling some people might be hesitating on buying the whole album after seeing the album cover for his upcoming record 5.0.

What's with the unbuckled belt that's hanging off his pants?

We're not sure what's going on, but it's making us laugh.

Rockabilly Giants Formed the Million Dollar Quartet

It's been almost 60 years since music that could be called rock and roll first started hitting the radio airwaves. Rock music has taken an amazing number of twists, turns, and alternate paths over all those years. But if you follow all of those paths back to their origins, you'll eventually come to the source of all rock and roll: The original primitive rock and roll called "rockabilly."

Les Paul History - History Of The Legendary Guitarist

Let's face it, pop music played on the radio is getting trashier and trashier, and the lyrics lazier and lazier. Popular music played on the radio is easy to find in your local Virgin Mega store. You can also generally find some old classics, albeit mostly greatest hits compilations, in these large high street chains. But how do you find out about alternatives to the mass produced pop? There is, of course, still good music around, it's just a question of knowing how to find out about these artists in the first place...

Have you been wanting to make your own beats using rap beat machines? I know the feeling. You're probably tired of hearing the same ole' music on the radio and you want to change the game and make your presence felt, right? Well, now is the best time to do so because the music industry is changing and declining. We need newcomers to shake it back up, so congrats for taking the first step!

Arts-and-Entertainment from EzineArticles.com

"After being turned down by numerous publishers, he had decided to write for posterity" - George Ade. It is a truth certainly acknowledged by the author of the above quote that many creative writers struggle for years, enduring perhaps decades in the wilderness of submissions and rejections, before their persistence finally pays off. Most would-be authors, it has been said, are "pessimistic optimists". What better way to describe this novelist, who has gone where most angels would be too sensible to tread - into those realms where only agents, editors and publishers prowl.

Remove iTunes Duplicates - Delete Duplicate Songs With an iTunes Organizer

The quality of home recorded loops is usually of a very poor level. The reason behind it is that most of the composers lack the essential equipment which is required to make studio quality recordings. If the song-writers neglect the importance of quality loops and incorporates such loops in the music they create, this is automatically reflected in their music and is not at all appreciated by their audience.

The US Version Of ‘Skins’ Releases A Second Video Trailer

Very sad news for tech geeks to pass along today … Sony has announced that it will no longer produce their iconic Walkman portable cassette stereos after the current batch of gadgets sells out. Despite the fact that the Apple iPod has pretty much become THE standard in portable music players in recent years, the Sony Walkman will forever remain, IMHO, the most important portable music player of all time. I gotta say … I’m really sad to see the Walkman die :(

After more than 30 years of producing its Walkman portable cassette players, Sony said it’s ending sales of the Walkman. The final batch was produced in Japan in April, and no more will be produced as soon as the current run is sold out. Just over 200 million cassette Walkman players have been sold over the years since being first introduced in 1979. Sony will continue to make and sell CD- and MiniDisc-based Walkmans, as well as its latest flash-based devices. Cloned but Sony-branded Walkmans will continue to be made by Chinese makers in Asia and the Middle East. The Walkman is widely credited with pioneering the concept of personal, portable audio beyond the radio. It helped spur on the cassette as a popular format and also maintained interest in albums. Interest only began to fade in the 1990s when the Discman took over, and saw a more definite end when the iPod was in sight.

It makes sense that Sony would discontinue production of their portable cassette players, especially since cassettes will very soon be extinct themselves … but … this is still really sad news. I remember when I got my first Sony Walkman back in the mid-80s … man, I loved that thing so much. My favorite memories include me riding around the block on my bike with my Sony Walkman strapped to my waist as I listened to Madonna, Prince, Stacey Q, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam … man, those were the good ol’ days. The Sony Walkman was just as popular at the time as the Apple iPod is today … but, alas, it’s natural that the old has to make way for the new. At least Sony is keeping the “Walkman” name alive with it’s CD and MP3 players but, in all honesty, they aren’t true Walkman devices. I’ll miss the real Sony Walkman … especially since it feels like a part of my childhood has just died :(

Leslie Nielsen, star of ‘Airplane!’ and ‘Naked Gun,’ dead at 84

Leslie Nielsen: 'I'm just having fun' STORY HIGHLIGHTS NEW: "He was the life of the party," his nephew saysNielsen died of complications from pneumonia, his family saysThe earnest dramatic actor became a comedy star after "Airplane!"He played the captain in the 1972 disaster movie, "The Poseidon Adventure" (CNN) -- Leslie Nielsen, whose longtime career as a square-jawed dramatic actor took a sudden turn into comedy with gut-busting spoofs like "Airplane!" and "The Naked Gun," has died at age 84, his family said Sunday. The Canadian-born Nielsen's career reached back into the early days of television, when he made frequent appearances on live drama series like "Goodyear Playhouse." He played the earnest starship captain in the 1956 science-fiction classic "Forbidden Planet" and made regular appearances on a wide range of TV dramas into the 1970s, including "Hawaii Five-O." He also played the captain of an overturned ocean liner in the 1972 disaster movie, "The Poseidon Adventure." Much of that changed in 1980, when he was cast as a doctor aboard an endangered jetliner in the gag-a-minute disaster-movie parody "Airplane!" Nielsen's deadpan response to the question "Surely, you can't be serious?" with "I am serious -- and don't call me Shirley" helped launch a second career.

Few can forget the images of Yo-Yo Ma at President Obama's inauguration, performing in frigid 30-degree weather along with Itzhak Perlman, Gabriela Montero, and Anthony McGill. The musicians didn't appear to be cold, but you had to wonder how they resisted shivering. Below freezing is probably a little too cold for most musicians, but still, winter gigs can be fun, even if it's as simple as caroling with friends.

Guide for Beginner Guitar Players - Getting Started With the Guitar

I've been fascinated with rhythm as far back as I can remember. I recently saw an old family video taken when I was two years old, tapping my spoon against the table between bites of Cheerios. It wasn't until attending my first drum circle many years later (and after scores of annoyed grade school teachers), that I finally found a home for my incessant banging.

The History Of The Music Video

There's a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that I love, which is, "That which we persist in doing becomes easy to do; not that the nature of the thing has changed, but that our power to do has increased." Emerson really hit the nail on the head with that one. As I think about virtually everything that I've accomplished in my life that I'm really proud of, it's always something that I've accomplished by being persistent and refusing to quite. Whether it's learning to play guitar, licensing my music, building my businesses or having great relationships, it's all required persistence and determination despite the inevitable obstacles that I've faced along the way.

Tom DeLay: How his crowning moment became a money laundering conviction

Tom DeLay, a former GOP House majority leader, was instrumental in the GOP taking the Texas Legislature in 2002 for the first time since Reconstruction. But one of his contributions to the cause was illegally laundered money, a jury ruled Wednesday. Washington After nearly half a decade of legal proceedings, former US House majority leader Tom DeLay was convicted today in a Texas court of money laundering and conspiracy related to a 1903 Texas law that bans corporate contributions to state political campaigns.

Yesterday evening, before I made my way to the Viper Room to see American Hi-Fi LIVE in concert, I attended an opening day showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 at the ArcLight in Hollywood, CA. Without question, I loved every single second of the film and enjoyed it so thoroughly that I cannot wait to see it again:

JK Rowling‘s Harry Potter books are always so rich with detail and lush storytelling that the film versions, as good as they are, seem like watered down tales that pale in comparison to the original source material. Because the final Harry Potter book, The Deathly Hallows, has been turned into 2 films, that watered down feeling didn’t feel as heavy-handed as it does for previous films. True, not everything in the first half of Deathly Hallows is included in Part 1 but we do get much more of the story than we usually get from the film adaptations … and we have an entirely new film to look forward to as well. This final installment of the Harry Potter film franchise is very dark and very scary … even for adults. No lie, I jumped out of my seat a couple of times with actual fright. There’s a lot of sexiness going on as well … Daniel Radcliffe strips down to his underwear in parts of the film and the semi-naked kissing (fantasy) scene between Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger made me feel really … uncomfortable. Still, those elements are required of the story so they didn’t feel gratuitous … in fact, they added muchly to the tone of the film. I was very impressed with the animated scenes that were used for the retelling of The Tale of the Three Brothers within the film. All in all, the film impressed me greatly … I loved it entirely. I really, REALLY did not want the movie to end … and when it does, I gave an audible sigh of sadness. I fear I’ll be bawling my eyes out when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is released next Summer. I damn near bawled my eyes out this time!

I’m not sure how this film will play for folks who are unfamiliar with the Harry Potter books and/or movies but the other 98.7% of the planet should enjoy this film very much.

Guide For Purchasing the Baldwin Acrosonic Piano

Finding good promo video music might sound like an easy task, but once you start actually running search after search on Google, you will soon realize that it takes not only time, but persistence as well. You are likely to find hundreds of web sites offering royalty free music, but royalty free does not necessarily mean that you will not be asked to pay for that music. Royalty free is a special type of license that allows you to pay once off fee and then use the audio for as many projects as you wish.

Buying That First Ukulele Part 1

Of all the children's nursery rhymes and lullabies Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star is one of my favorites. Though it is a commonly sung lullaby it is perhaps less commonly known that the melody and lyrics were not written together, or even for each other, and that this lullaby was NOT written by Mozart.
