For a while now people have been wondering what became of the Bo Burnham-penned, Judd Apatow-produced script dubbed the "anti-'High School Musical.'" So, the question is: When will we see it on the big screen... if ever? MTV News went to the source (no, not Apatow) to find out.
"We've been writing it for a couple years. I don't know if it'll be made or anything," said Burnham, a 20-year-old stand-up comic/musician who is known for his satirical songs and popular You Tube videos (and who has his very own Comedy Central special, "Words, Words, Words," airing Saturday). "It's just an R-rated 'High School Musical.' It's not a spoof. People would obviously make that comparison because it's going to be a musical in high school, but we were thinking that idea of a high school musical is incredible. It's a great idea, and it's not like we're spoofing that one."
So, what goes down in Burnham's version of high school musical? "They made the G-version but the real high school would make a great musical too… like eating disorders and homophobia. There's so much and when you contrast that with a song it becomes funny and dramatic. You can kind of make really serious issues light, but not in a way to make fun of them [but] kind of show how messed up it is."
If anything, Bo admits that at least he learned from the best when it comes to writing comedy for the big screen. "I don't know if its going to be made, but Judd was so incredible, so even if it's not made I learned how to write a movie from him," he shared. "I don’t know if [Judd would direct it]. I'm writing the music, but I'm not really a musician at all. I admit it, Bieber! Yeah, the main character is called Bo right now [so I might star in it]. I don't know if that will happen, but it would be awesome if it did."
Are you excited for Burnham and Apatow to make the anti-"High School Musical"? Tell us in the comments!

Possible congratulations are in order for happily marrieds Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z because, according to US Weekly magazine, the couple are pregs with their first child. Now, thus far, the couple themselves have not commented on the report … but according to the magazine’s “sources close to the couple”, Beyoncé is pregs. Read on for the reported deets:
Beyonce Knowles better brush up on her lullabies. The 29-year-old singer is pregnant with her first child, the new Us Weekly reports. Despite the happy news, no one was more surprised than the singer herself. “B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn’t ready to be a mother just yet,” says a source of the singer, who married rapper Jay-Z in 2008. “She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again.” Still, another insider says that the singer, who is in her first trimester, realizes that “this is a gift from God and she’s so happy.” Friends of the couple are already expressing their well-wishes for the parents-to-be. “Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he’s always going to be,” record executive Kevin Liles, who has known the rapper for years, tells Us. “I wish them the best.” Knowles’ sister Solange — and mom to Julez, 6 — agrees. “She’s got the most beautiful heart,” she tells Us of her big sis. “She’ll be a great mom.”
There’s no question that B-Jay would make great parents … and I’m sure pretty much everyone would LOVE for the incredibly talented couple to spawn but … I ain’t buyin’ this report just yet. In the last few months, the rumor cycle was claiming that it was Mariah Carey who is pregs (and claim that has, thus far, not be substantiated or proved) so now it seems that Beyoncé is the latest target of rumors. While I would be thrilled to learn that this news is true … I think I’ll wait to hear it from the couple themselves.

Sarah Michaels: Bad Girls Club Beauty!
Sarah Michaels, the Bad Girls Club beauty, was seen with Pauly “Pauly D” DelVecchio of Jersey [...]
CHiPs star Larry Wilcox has been out of the spotlight for a while now but thanks to some recent trouble he has gotten himself into he is making headlines once again. Find out all about Larry and what kind of trouble he is in. There are some pictures and video for you to check out too.
Larry Wilcox star of the cop show CHiPs has been busted for security fraud. The actor who played Jon Baker partner to Erik Estrada’s Ponch was discovered by the FBI during a sting operation to be involved in a stock sales scam. Although the charges against him are not criminal charges the SEC has charged him with manipulating the volume and price of penny stocks to illegally generate stock sales. The SEC is seeking an injunction against Wilcox along with financial penalties.
Other than he is now in some hot water and he once was on a hit TV show what do we know about Larry? In terms of a biography this is what we know about the 63 year old San Diego former hottie. He left the show that made him a household name in 1982 to of course pursue other things, which he did including starting his own production company Wilcox Productions which is still around today.
Larry decided to put his entrepreneurial skills to the test by making the move into business with the company called Team Elite which is a multidivisional company selling liquid vitamins, wholesale travel and long-distance communications through network marketing. He also went on to be president of the software company MediaCore.
Wilcox has been married to Marlene Harmon since 1986. The couple has two children together although Larry hast three other children from his previous two marriages. Larry and Marlene currently live on a ranch in the San Fernando Valley.
Former CHiPs star Larry Wilcox may be in trouble now with the SEC but before this latest drama it appears the actor had himself a pretty good life.

MGM Will Begin Prepackaged Bankruptcy
The Nation magazine is reporting that former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs relied on illegal immigrants to help maintain his homes even as he spoke out on the air against them.
The Nation said the article, published online Thursday, is based on a yearlong investigation including interviews with five immigrants who worked without papers on Dobbs’ properties in New Jersey and Florida.
Dobbs said in an interview Thursday the article is “a political assault” based on what he called “the lie” that he has hired illegal immigrants. He says: “I have never, do not now, and never will.”
Dobbs was host of a weeknight news and commentary hour on CNN until abruptly resigning last November after 29 years with the network. He continues to host a syndicated radio show.

'Harry Potter' Films To Cast 3-D Spell On Blu-Ray
About a month after "How to Train Your Dragon" flew through theaters, DreamWorks knew they wanted a television series, sequel, live show and online virtual world to keep their franchise breathing fire. Now, just ahead of the film's DVD and Blu-ray releases on October 15, a 3-D theatrical sequel has been confirmed for 2013, and Cartoon Network has revealed that they will host the TV show, which will follow the continuing adventures of Hiccup and Toothless on a weekly basis.
"Great characters and captivating storytelling along with state of the art animation is what we love giving our audience," Turner's Animation, Young Adults & Kids Business president/COO Stuart Snyder said in a press release. "The 'How to Train Your Dragon' weekly series definitely falls into that category of giving our viewers around the globe something they can't find anywhere else on television and DreamWorks Animation is a proven leader in taking this art form to the next level. We are ecstatic to be bringing this project to our network and working with everyone at DreamWorks Animation."
The series won't air until 2012, but it is slated to show in both domestic and international regions. Furthermore, with the 3-D sequel not expected to arrive until 2013, think of the series as a pre-scheduled re-introduction to the "HTTYD" universe.
"'How to Train Your Dragon' has already captured the hearts and minds of audiences around the world and we are thrilled to join together with Cartoon Network to expand on this amazing movie in a television series of its own," DreamWorks Animation COO Ann Daly said in a statement. "It is incredibly exciting to be able to bring viewers deeper into the world of dragons and tell new stories each week inspired by our characters from the film."
Do you plan on catching "HTTYD" on the Cartoon Network when comes in 2012? What aspects of the first film would you like to see explored further? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!

Johnny Knoxville Promises 'Jackass 3.5' Awesomeness
"Man, we filmed so much stuff. So much great stuff got left out of the film because we just overshot," Knoxville explained [...]
There has been no dearth of "Scream 4" casting news these past few months, with a steady stream of young stars -- Emma Roberts, Adam Brody, Hayden Panettiere, Nico Tortorella, Erik Knudsen, Marley Shelton and Rory Culkin -- lining up alongside series regulars Courteney Cox and David Arquette to fight for their lives (in most cases futilely) in the face of a new spate of Ghostface killings.
In a recent chat with MTV News to discuss his 3-D supernatural thriller "My Soul to Take" (in theaters today), "Scream 4" director Wes Craven gave us a rundown of the fourth installment's plot and revealed whether those new "Scream" trilogy rumors are true.
"The studio wants to be very, very secretive about it," Craven admitted. "I think it's kind of known that Neve is returning to her hometown for a short visit, and all hell breaks loose. But there's also a whole cast of new characters -- there's some very, very interesting kids."
Will we be seeing any of those "interesting kids" in some sequels? "It is or was a planned trilogy. I think the studio is realistic enough to say, let's see how it does," Craven said. But Kevin Williamson [the series creator and screenwriter] does have an idea for a planned trilogy out of it."
Are you psyched for "Scream 4"? And should it launch a new trilogy? Tell us in the comments?

So How Did That Banksy Collabo With ‘The Simpsons’ Come To Be?
While many of us, me included, are still struggling with the shocking news that Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette are dunzo, US Weekly magazine is reporting today that another celebrity marriage is dunzo as well. According to the mag, Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman have split … actually, have been separated for months … just like Courteney and David were. HMMM. At this point, the news has not been confirmed or denied by the couple … so take the report for what it is:
Singer Christina Aguilera is going solo. Though the pop star, 29, told UsMagazine.com less than a year ago that she felt “very blessed” in her union with music executive Jordan Bratman, 33, a source close to Aguilera tells Us the couple “have been separated for a few months.” And though Aguilera and Bratman — who met in 2002 (he was a producer on one of her albums) and wed in 2005 — have not yet decided whether to divorce, the source reveals, “they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes.” What went wrong? “They were very much in love,” explains the insider. “But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”The source adds that Aguilera even “proposed their August trip to Italy to rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help.” The duo remain united in their commitment, however, to son Max, 2. “He is their main concern,” says the pal.
I have to admit, I find this report a bit dubious … especially with its timing. At first read, it feels a bit like a story that is meant to capitalize on the confirmed break-up of Courteney and David. Because it remains unconfirmed and offers no real proof of a split, I’m hesitant to believe it … just yet. BUT, I was so surprised by the news of Courteney and David‘s split that, well, even tho I don’t necessarily believe this news about Xtina and Jordy just yet I suppose I have to consider that it may turn out to be true, just like Courteney and David. We’ll have to wait and see what Xtina has to say about this report from US Weekly.
UPDATE: Extra! TV is now also reporting that Xtina and Jordy have split (Extra! claims the couple are officially divorcing). Where there’s smoke … there should come an official statement one way or the other. Stay tuned …
UPDATE 2: Dang! TMZ is now joining the party claiming they’ve confirmed the Xtina/Jordan split is true. All that’s left is for us to hear from the couple themselves. I suspect an official statement may come later today.

David Schwimmer & Zoë Buckman Got Hitched . . . 4 Months Ago!
As I suspected early yesterday, I ended up spending pretty much all day in without leaving the house once. I haven’t been feeling too hot lately so I decided to just keep things as chill as possible here at home. Because I was pretty much laid up all day long on the couch, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to kick some ass in Pokémon SoulSilver. As a result of all the free time I had this weekend, I managed to work my way thru the game and successfully win 6 of the 8 Gym Badges in the game:
Without going into too much game-play detail for those of you unfamiliar with the Pokémon video games, you essentially work your way thru various levels of the game competing for 8 badges while collecting Pokémon creatures along the way. After you win all 8 badges, you compete against the Elite Four bosses of the game and then there is a final battle, I believe, with superstrong (or legendary) Pokémon … or something like that. Trust me, as anyone who has played the game long enough can attest, this video game is addicting. I haven’t been this engrossed in a Pokémon game since 2001 … and, to be honest, I can’t believe I’ve been away for so long. I’ve been having a blast … and I’m looking forward to beating this damn game so I can get my life back.
Tonight, I’m planning to make my way to the Grammy Museum in downtown LA to see my fave saxophone player Dave Koz live in concert. His new album Hello Tomorrow is out today and I’m excited to see him live again. It’s been many years since I’ve seen him in concert but I’ve been a big fan since the late 80′s. He was my idol when I played sax in high school … so yeah, that’s what I’ll be doing. Afterward, I’ll be picking up David from the airport … even tho he’s been away for only 2 days it feels like longer … it’ll be great to have him home again.

Sounds like another reality show!
Snooki has greater ambition than to just be a girl on the Jersey Shore. She wants to be a wife and a mother!
The reality star said:
“I wanna be married by 26, 27… get pregnant right away and have like, you know, four guido/guidette babies.
My ultimate guy would be hysterical, funny, makes me laugh, very family oriented, obviously tanned. He has to have muscles and just know how to have a good time.”
Oh boy!
And Snickers even has a plan to support all of her guido babies.
“I wanna be a clothing designer, hair designer," she said. "Try acting just to say that I tried it, and if I’m a success at it, good for me. If I’m not, I tried.”
Lots of luck!

Apparently today is the day for weird film-to-Broadway news. First up is "Sister Act," which EW.com says is primed to take its act to the Great White Way beginning April 20, 2011. This news is somewhat understandable, as the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg was a box-office hit, and a musical adaptation is already enjoying a lucrative run in London's West End.
On the stranger end of the stick, Deadline has confirmed that a revival of "Carrie" the musical is in the works. No, not Carrie as in the "Sex and the City" leading lady (which would actually make some sense), but Carrie as in the vengeful main character of Stephen King's book, it's acclaimed 1976 movie adaptation and its not-so-acclaimed 1988 Broadway musical version (which lost $8 million dollars in its short run).
Add that to the planned "Little Miss Sunshine" musical that was announced over the summer, the confirmed Julie Taymor "Spider-man" musical and even a Broadway version of "The Notebook," and we've got a really random array of films making their way to Broadway and not enough musicals crossing over into Hollywood (I'm looking at you, "Wicked"). Here are some films that we hope never get the musical treatment.
"Avatar"
Six foot blue aliens singing mournful hymns after the loss of Hometree? Thanks, but no thanks. "Avatar" is the highest grossing film of all time, and could probably be done on Broadway a la "The Lion King," but I think the world would be better off if no one tried.
"The Bourne Identity"
Has there ever been a fugitive assassin Broadway musical before? Probably not, but "The Bourne Identity" should not be the first. Jason Bourne is terrifying with his deadly accuracy and need for revenge, but what would he be if he broke out into song every time things got tense? A cast member on "Glee," that's what.
"Love Actually"
Say what you will about this British ensemble romantic comedy (I love it), but it has plenty of the elements necessary for a musical: that awesome song-and-dance sequence at the end, the intertwined story lines of several lead characters, and the all-around feel good vibe. But "Love Actually" should just maintain its legacy as one of the best ensemble rom-com films out there.
"The Departed"
Can't you just picture Frank Costello, Colin Sullivan and Billy Costigan harmonizing together about each of their sinister motivations during a climactic moment in a "The Departed" musical, much like the "Tonight" reprise at the end of act one in "West Side Story"? We can, but we'd prefer not to.
"Pirates of the Caribbean"
If this ever happened, it would have to be the first musical based on a film based on an amusement park ride ever created. Yes, "The Pirates of Penzance" has been a successful Broadway musical that follows pirates, but let's just leave it at that. They're having enough trouble finally getting the fourth film to the big screen, and what would a "Pirates of the Caribbean" musical be without Johnny Depp anyways?
"Moulin Rouge"
No, wait, nevermind. "Moulin Rouge" should definitely be made into a musical. Who out there is working on a revival on "Carrie" instead of getting this classic film musical to Broadway?
Would you go see "Sister Act," "Carrie" and "Little Miss Sunshine" on Broadway?

X Factor: Our Favorite Performance Of The Weekend Was….
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!
Go, Mary! Go, Mary! Go!
We must admit, we were BLOWN AWAY by Mary Byrne's performance on X Factor Saturday night!
It was a revelation!
Prior to this weekend's show, we appreciated her big voice but we also through it was a bit shrill. However, last night she gave a nuanced and command performance [...]
And here come the Adam Lambert comparisons!
Aiden Grimshaw took on the Tears For Fears classic Mad World on X Factor Saturday night.
But, he really made this song his own!
It was almost a creepy take on the song!
Definitely captivating!
Aiden has something very special about his voice!
We have to agree, though, that he needs to work on being less introverted - but this song suits him quite well.
